Innovative, open, market-driven: this is the NOI test kitchen.
You can work independently – or rent the kitchen with scientific support.
Develop something new. Produce food. Host events and tastings. The Kitchen Lab at NOI Techpark is a breeding ground for ideas and a forum for transferring knowledge and sharing experiences. You can quickly and cost-effectively develop new food products, production processes or recipes, test the latest processing technologies and even host events.
The test kitchen measures 50m² and comes equipped with standard equipment, food and hygiene items. And a small specialist library. The test kitchen can also be used as a venue for workshops, presentations and seminars dealing with food-related issues, as well as for tasting sessions.
You can work here on your own – or you can book our equipment and receive advice from our expert staff.
State-of-the-art technology: for companies, researchers and start-ups.
The NOI Techpark test kitchen features cutting-edge technology and is open to anyone looking to develop new products in the food industry. Are you curious to know who has come before you? Examples include farmers wishing to break new ground in direct marketing, start-ups with red-hot product ideas, staff from large food companies driving R&D and researchers testing potential recipes.
A basic set of equipment facilitates all the classic kitchen techniques: cooking, baking, chopping, cooling, vacuum packing, drying, sous-vide cooking and fermentation. In addition, we have a range of devices available to develop innovative products, including an autoclave, a 3D food printer, a vacuum mixer and a smoking chamber.
The Kitchen Lab is the place to put theory into practice, create prototypes, conduct test series and fine-tune ideas. The best part? You can assemble your own dream team – whether you want to work independently, with partner companies or in collaboration with external experts.
