Computer Science, Economics, Natural Sciences & Technology: three faculties of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano are present at NOI. unibz has set up 13 laboratories for all of NOI’s technology sectors. New on board in 2024: the Faculty of Engineering.

Fraunhofer Italia specialises in applied research for small and medium-sized enterprises. Its teams work in the field of automation and mechatronics and optimise business models and planning processes in construction and production.

Agriculture and food: the Laimburg Research Centre conducts applied research in these areas. The objective? To make South Tyrol's agriculture sector competitive and sustainable and to ensure the quality of the product.
