AI / ML Engineer (Computer Vision)

YouAddict is a deep-tech startup developing proprietary artificial intelligence solutions to revolutionize the fashion retail industry. The selected candidate will join a lean and highly specialized team, working closely with the AI, tech, and product areas on a Computer Vision platform already running in production.
Job description
We are looking for a junior AI / Machine Learning engineer with a focus on Computer Vision, who can progressively take ownership of an AI platform that has already been designed and deployed. The role is highly hands-on and covers the entire lifecycle: dataset management, model training and fine-tuning, evaluation, cloud deployment, and maintenance of AI services. The selected candidate will initially work alongside the current AI Engineer during a learning and knowledge transfer phase and will then gain autonomy in managing the AI components of the product.
Tasks
Take ownership of the core software, understanding its logic, involved Deep Learning models, inputs/outputs, dependencies, business rules, and tuning parameters.
Work with PyTorch pipelines.
Work with image datasets.
Manage the deployment and maintenance of models and web services.
Operate on services and tools such as Vertex AI, Cloud Run, etc.
Manage data annotation workflows, data export, pre/post-processing, and integration of newly annotated data into training pipelines.
Collaborate with backend engineers to make AI services easily integrable.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with relevant libraries for Deep Learning, Data Science, and Computer Vision, such as PyTorch.
Solid understanding of Deep Learning fundamentals and basic knowledge of modern Computer Vision techniques and architectures.
Experience working with image datasets and training or fine-tuning models up to 100M parameters.
Ability to work with existing codebases, use Git and version control tools, work with Docker, and handle debugging and troubleshooting tasks.
Familiarity with lightweight web frameworks for model serving, such as Flask and FastAPI.
Exposure to cloud platforms is a plus, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; a Master’s degree (completed or ongoing) in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
