Everything you need to know as a company
Innovation doesn’t always mean reinventing the wheel. It can also mean making processes faster, more cost-effective and more precise. This is exactly what Varna-based company Photogram has done, creating a photogrammetry platform with 3D point clouds. This solution makes it possible to create high-precision, three-dimensional digital images of infrastructure and environments such as buildings, construction sites or even natural disasters such as landslides.
How does the system work? Simply upload images of the object in question — a video taken with a smartphone or drone footage, for example — and easily perform all the necessary measurements on the platform. This eliminates many of the stages (and costs) associated with conventional surveying methods, such as laborious measurements, expensive CAD programmes, and high-powered computing.
But how does NOI come into all this? From the outset, founder Alex Walder focused on one of our fundamental principles: cooperation. By working closely with the Smart Mini Factory of our partner, the University of Bozen-Bolzano (unibz), and by participating in our events (including webinars), Photogram gained access to technologically advanced tools such as augmented reality glasses and connected with major customers such as Alperia and the Civil Protection Agency.
