When Train 18, also known as the Vande Bharat Express, hurtles through the Indian landscape at night, a South Tyrolean component lights its path. This prestigious Indian project's headlight comes from Elektra GmbH, a small, family-run company based in Caldaro that specialises in developing custom LED lights and power supplies. To secure this contract, Wilhelm Reinstadler, the company's developer and production manager, had to meet the highly detailed requirements of this special customer, which included precise specifications concerning the width and angle of the light beam, as well as the need for the light to be extremely resistant to heat, cold, stones, power surges and vibrations. NOI was keen to support this exciting project, and tests by drone specialists MAVTech show that the results are lighting up the night in South Tyrol too!
