Everything you need to know as a company
Technology keeps moving fast – and it changes how we live, work, and relate to each other. With NOI TECHTALKS, NOI Techpark and Eurac Research’s Center for Advanced Studies open a space where research and the wider public meet to reflect together: What does progress mean for society? Which questions really matter for our future? And how do we make sure innovation serves people and nature? The series is open to everyone: an invitation to think, ask, and debate in an open, equal dialogue.
2nd edition
Robots at work: colleague or competitor?
What happens when machines at work stop being mere tools and start acting as autonomous agents – making decisions, taking action, and interacting alongside us? As automation reaches more areas of daily life, we increasingly encounter robots that operate as (seemingly) independent actors: sometimes serving us, sometimes collaborating with us. In our second edition, on 3 December, we explore how people experience and make sense of collaborating with autonomous machines at work – asking not only how we will work tomorrow, but also how we want to live and coexist with these new actors in our society.
Astrid Weiss, Associate Professor in the Human-Computer Interaction group at TU Wien, and Andrea Giusti, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, will engage in a critical, audience-focused dialogue on what good collaboration with autonomous systems requires.
Join the conversation: admission is free; please register. We look forward to welcoming you!
The event will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation into German and Italian.
