Smart & Sustainable Materials

What do an end-of-life car and a worn-out ski boot have in common? They may be very different products, but both can become valuable sources of materials for new, high-value applications. 

On 21 October, SMART & SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS returns to explore this transformation: from end-of-life products to new materials, and from recycling to product development. Real-world examples, technologies and industrial strategies will show how the role of polymers is evolving at the intersection of performance, sustainability and the circular economy. 

With contributions from Ducati, Aquafil, the University of Trento and other voices from industry and research, we will explore advanced polymer materials, recycling, mobility and new applications in sport and industry. 

An afternoon of exchange between research and business, focused on turning environmental and regulatory challenges into practical solutions and new opportunities for development.
