EU Projects and networks in South Tyrol
The European Union offers numerous funding opportunities for private firms. For instance, entrepreneurs can apply at EU level for financial assistance for their new business idea, or jointly fine tune their innovative ideas along with international partners and research institutions as part of an EU project. SMEs can also benefit indirectly from the consultancy services as well as from EU projects as suppliers or as participants in free workshops.
It is not particularly easy to get an overview of the wide range of offers and funding possibilities available at EU level, which is why the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) has set itself the task of helping businesses benefit from these opportunities. It provides information on EU funding programmes, it networks potential business and technology partners on an international level, and it supports enterprises in bringing a new product onto the international market.
The network has more than 600 member organisations in more than 60 countries inside and outside Europe. It is the world's largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises which are planning to become active internationally.
In South Tyrol, NOI Techpark, together with the Institute for Business Development of the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce, is the local point of contact for Enterprise Europe Network. This is where ambitious SMEs will find support for their innovation and internationalisation plans.
