Witty is an Italian startup that develop smart solutions for EV’s that allow energy and battery efficiency.
After reaching 25.000 worldwide customers in consumer electronics market, Witty pivot its attention to the market of e-mobility.
Over 80% of EV’s consumers worries about range anxiety and companies have no possibility to schedule the charging process of their electric fleets with operational activities. These two issues are the greatest barriers to the use of electric mobility and, consequently, to the energy transition.
Two software with two different goals:
Witty X is able to act like a “Google Maps of energy” and predict the vehicle energy consumption. Thanks to this prediction we can avoid the consumers range anxiety.
Witty SaaS X allow the companies to have a real-time control over the whole fleets charging process and to predict/plan the charging process in off-peak periods.
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to manage and utilize data collected by our products and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, machine learning, AI and programming languages such as Python and R. Responsibilities include extracting insights from data, creating predictive models, and collaborating with development teams to optimize decision-making processes. A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields is required.
Tasks
Analysing project specifications and defining with our senior data scientis the data architecture
Proposing and implementing solutions, from design to development and testing of the data model
Maintenance and constant improvement of the data model
Code control to ensure the quality of the data model
Issuing and subsequent maintenance of the relevant technical documentation, in accordance with the company's quality standards
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science/ca/informatics/automation or equivalent qualification
Python Skills:
Programming: Proficiency in Python programming, with a strong grasp of syntax, data structures, and algorithms.
Data Science Libraries: In-depth knowledge of libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
REST API Development: Skill in creating Python scripts to define and implement REST APIs using libraries like Flask, RabbitMQ, Django REST Framework, or FastAPI.
Machine Learning: Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, with the ability to apply machine learning algorithms to real-world problems.
Machine Learning with Python: Proficiency in using libraries like Scikit-learn and TensorFlow to build, train, and evaluate machine learning models in Python.
Docker Skills:
Containerization: Understanding of containerization concepts and the benefits of using Docker for application isolation and portability.
Docker Image Creation: Ability to create Docker images to package applications and their dependencies in an isolated environment.
Docker Container Management: Skill in running, managing, and orchestrating Docker containers using tools like Docker Compose and Docker Swarm.
Dockerfile Knowledge: Familiarity with Dockerfile syntax and instructions for configuring and creating custom Docker images.
Database Management Skills:
SQL: Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) for querying, manipulating, and managing data in relational databases.
NoSQL: Knowledge of non-relational databases like MongoDB and Cassandra for managing structured and unstructured data.
Database Selection: Ability to choose the appropriate type of database (relational, NoSQL, or hybrid) based on specific project requirements.
Query Optimization: Skill in optimizing SQL queries to improve data access performance.
