The Covision Lab is a research and application centre based in Bressanone that focuses on computer vision and artificial intelligence. In 2019, seven multinational technology companies founded the Covision Lab to build a bridge between research and industrial practice. To achieve this, know-how, technology and resources are bundled and condensed into an incubator for disruptive innovation. As such, the Covision Lab also sees itself as a company builder that establishes start-up companies.
Two focus areas have been defined: Covision Quality automates industrial visual inspection, and Covision Media automates the creation of digital twins. NOI has entered into a partnership with the Covision Lab. Because knowledge flows better in a network.
