Introduction
Geomatrix is a new industrial startup, a spinoff of the Swiss toy company Geomagworld. The company focuses on developing its patent for Xi, a sustainable plastic polymer made from wood waste from certified forests. The startup is led by a team with extensive industrial experience, based at NOI BZ, and is in venture building with ZEST Milan.
Job Description
You will join a startup focused on the circular economy, working directly with the founders to develop technical activities. You will shadow the founders to develop new product formulations as well as customizations.
What You’ll Do
You will play a key role in positioning Geomatrix as a leader in the sustainable plastic materials market through innovation processes aimed at maximizing the potential of basic formulations and intellectual property in line with circular economy models.
Conduct R&D processes in the field of polymeric materials.
Set up a laboratory for R&D purposes and to support quality processes.
Build relationships with research institutions and industrial partners.
Develop work and project plans and manage their implementation.
Prepare project reports, including financial reporting for public funding purposes.
Provide technical support for the company’s commercial processes with clients.
Support investment processes and the installation of production machinery
Your Profile
Technical education, preferably in materials engineering.
Preferably, experience in R&D within the field of polymeric materials.
Project management skills and familiarity with management tools.
Autonomy, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks..
Goal-oriented mindset.
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
Motivation and enthusiasm.
Strong proficiency in Italian, German, and English.
Willingness to travel for business.
