Reachy Mini & Stuart: Building a Sovereign AI Assistant for the Maker Space

Abduallah Abuhassan will present a solution developed to support NOI Maker Space visitors with quick, context-aware answers. It combines two open-source components: Reachy Mini, a compact humanoid robot built for AI research and creative coding, and Stuart, the Open Data Hub team’s AI assistant, which uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to deliver precise responses based on technical documentation and project repositories.

This talk will show how the two systems work together to create a practical, privacy-conscious assistant for real-world use. Expect insights into the technical setup, the role of open-source tools, and the opportunities this kind of application opens up for customer support and human-machine interaction.
