Preparation
Before we begin, we work together to define your challenges, objectives and parameters – ensuring the process is uniquely tailored to your company. Three core questions guide our work:
Tech Opportunities: What opportunities are emerging technologies creating for your company?
Needs of People: What needs will be shaping markets in 5, 10 or more years?
Needs of Nature: How can we support nature and secure our planet’s survival – and what does that mean for future-proof solutions?
Identify innovation areas. Choose directions.
We map innovation areas and search for specific signals that reveal the most promising innovation directions for your business. In collaboration with you and your team, we evaluate these insights, distil potential into future scenarios and decide where to focus your energy in the next phase.
Key outcomes: The Alpha Innovation Radar Report – a list of prioritised innovation directions, complete with scenarios and strategic frameworks.
From direction to concept. Radical – yet achievable.
In this step of the Alpha Innovation Challenge, your innovation team develops one or more ideas around selected scenarios and personas. We establish clear boundaries (topic scope, format, potential partners, timeline) and iteratively refine the strongest approaches – until you have a robust concept ready to stand on its own.
Key outcomes: A concept draft including core assumptions, impact logic and initial pathways to implementation.
Decide with the future in focus.
In the final step, we help you make sound, sustainable decisions. We stress-test your concept against four criteria: future user value, technical feasibility, benefits for nature and society, and economic viability. When your concept passes this test, we translate it into a roadmap with clear milestones and responsibilities.
Key outcomes: A solid foundation for decision-making and an actionable roadmap to implementation.
